Thanksgiving Blessings Mix Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups Bugles brand corn snacks
- 2 cups small pretzels
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1 cup dried fruit bits or raisins
- 1 cup peanuts or sunflower seeds
- 1 cup M&Ms-brand chocolate candy
- 16 Hershey's-brand chocolate kisses
- Blessings Mix gift tags
Thanksgiving Blessings Mix Tag
Bugles: Shaped like the cornucopia, a symbol of our abundance.
Pretzels: Arms folded in prayer, a freedom from those who founded our country.
Candy Corn: The sacrifice of the pilgrim’s first winter. Food was so scarce they survived on just a few kernels of corn a day.
Nuts/Seeds: Promise of future harvest – only obtained if we plant and nourish with diligence and faith.
M&Ms: Memories of those who came before and lead us to a blessed future.
Hershey’s Kiss: The love of family and friends that sweetens our lives.
Place approximately 1/3 cup snack mix in clear party bags, cone-shaped treat bags or small zipper storage bags.
Add a single Hershey's brand chocolate kiss to each gift bag.
Tip: to make it easier to fill treat bags, stand bags or cones on end in a tall straight drinking glass. Turn the bag tops down over the outside of the glass, and fill with snack mix:
