To save a school from closure, a newly widowed administrator, Cal Peterson, must close all unessential classes and programs, including a music program that is the heart of a community. His determination to do the right thing is tested when he has to fire the program's beloved music teacher, Lily, with whom he's fallen in love. This video is the closing scene at what Lily believes to be her final Christmas concert where Cal gather's the alumni of the school and her former band, surprising her by coming together and presenting her with a scholarship fund to keep the program running. Further, Lily surprises the entire audience with a duet featuring Cal's niece, Fern, whom Lily saved from emotional and social devastation. Fern amazes everyone with her new-found courage to stand in front of the entire community, and her own father to show them how music, Lily... and love indeed can change everything.
